教初中生一口流利英語(yǔ)的七大法則
I’ve spent the last few years traveling and living abroad， and during that time I’ve talked to a lot of people who spoke English as a foreign language.
我花了幾年的時(shí)間在國(guó)外旅游和生活，那段時(shí)間我同很多把英語(yǔ)作為外語(yǔ)的人交談過(guò)。
After talking to thousands of foreigners in English I’ve noticed several things that they do that hurt their progress as a language learner. Here are the top 7：
同成千上萬(wàn)個(gè)外國(guó)人用英語(yǔ)交流后，我發(fā)現(xiàn)作為一個(gè)語(yǔ)言學(xué)者，他們總能做出一些損害他們學(xué)習(xí)進(jìn)步的事情來(lái)。這里主要有七點(diǎn)；
1. Don’t Be too Ashamed to Speak
1. 不要太害羞以至于不能開口說(shuō)
There is only one way to learn how to speak English， and that is to open your mouth and speak English！ The only way you will ever get better at speaking is by speaking， and speaking a lot！
學(xué)習(xí)怎樣說(shuō)英語(yǔ)只有一種方法就是張開你的嘴，說(shuō)英語(yǔ)！唯一能讓讓你的口語(yǔ)變好的方法就是說(shuō)英語(yǔ)，說(shuō)的越多越好！

You can make excuses for why you don’t want to speak， like saying that you’re too embarrassed to speak， but these won’t get you any closer to your goal of achieving English fluency. It doesn’t matter if you have no vocabulary， or if your pronunciation isn’t perfect， you need to open your mouth and speak if you want to improve.
你可以為你為什么不想說(shuō)英語(yǔ)找借口，就像你說(shuō)你太尷尬了以至于不愿意說(shuō)，但這并不會(huì)讓你實(shí)現(xiàn)口語(yǔ)流利的目標(biāo)。沒(méi)有詞匯量是沒(méi)有關(guān)系的，或者你的發(fā)音不是很完美，如果你想提高口語(yǔ)，你只需要張的嘴說(shuō)出來(lái)。
What ever you do， don’t say that you can’t speak English because this will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. By believing that you can’t speak English you close your mind to trying， and never give yourself the opportunity to improve. The only way to improve your English is to practice it， no matter how bad you may or may not be at it.
無(wú)論你做什么也不要說(shuō)你不會(huì)說(shuō)英語(yǔ)，因?yàn)檫@將會(huì)成為事實(shí)的預(yù)言。你相信自己不會(huì)說(shuō)英語(yǔ)，你就會(huì)封鎖你的大腦不去嘗試說(shuō)，也不給自己機(jī)會(huì)去提高。提高英語(yǔ)的唯一方法就是不斷的練習(xí)，無(wú)論你的口語(yǔ)有多差。
2. Don’t Be Afraid of Making Mistakes
2. 不要害怕犯錯(cuò)
Another thing you shouldn’t do when speaking English is to be afraid of making mistakes. Part of being human is making mistakes and sooner or later you’re going to have to accept the fact that you’re not perfect and that you will always make mistakes. The only way you can avoid making mistakes is by not trying at all. If you follow this approach you’ll avoid making mistakes， but you’ll never improve either.
說(shuō)英語(yǔ)時(shí)另外一件不應(yīng)該做的事情就是害怕犯錯(cuò)。大部分的人都在犯錯(cuò)，遲早要接受你并不完美、總會(huì)犯錯(cuò)的事實(shí)。你能避免犯錯(cuò)的唯一方法就是不再嘗試。如果你跟著這個(gè)方法走，你將避免犯錯(cuò)，但是你再也不會(huì)提高了。

This may seem counter-intuitive， but you should try making as many mistakes as possible. If you are making mistakes that means you are actually speaking English and improving. If you aren’t making mistakes every day then you aren’t speaking enough. Of course， you shouldn’t intentionally make mistakes， and you should try to be aware of your mistakes so you can learn from them and improve your skills.
這可能看起來(lái)是違反直覺(jué)的，但是你應(yīng)該盡可能的嘗試多犯錯(cuò)。如果你在犯錯(cuò)，這實(shí)際上意味著你的口語(yǔ)在提高。如果你每天都沒(méi)有犯錯(cuò)，說(shuō)明你說(shuō)的還不夠。當(dāng)然，你不應(yīng)該故意犯錯(cuò)，你應(yīng)該嘗試著去意識(shí)你的錯(cuò)誤，這樣你才能從中學(xué)習(xí)并提高你的口語(yǔ)技能。
Grammar is the last thing you should be worried about when speaking English. You don’t need to have perfect grammar in order to communicate with someone in English. Native speakers aren’t going to judge you for having bad grammar， they are going to be more focused on understanding your meaning and continuing the conversation. As long as you speak clearly and confidently， it doesn’t matter if you use the wrong article， adjective ending or sentence order.
